Dr. Ford is a board certified pediatrician, wife and mother of six who understands the importance of collaboration between parents and a child's doctors. She completed her pediatric residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and has over 10 years of experience in both outpatient and inpatient pediatrics.
Dr. Ford strives to be a medical doctor not only of the body, but of the whole person, utlizing an integrative medicine approach to healing taking into account both conventional and natural pediatric remedies where appropriate.
Your family will be offered hour long visits in our cozy office or the comfort of your own home, with a holistic doctor who is an expert in pediatrics and wants to learn about your family and your personal health goals, listening to your concerns, and attempting to address them all after providing a thorough assessment.
Our family owned and operated practice has decided to focus on building strong relationships with our patient families to best support long term health and wellness, rather than being a one-time urgent solution. This allows your family and our physician and staff to get to know one another, including your unique health challenges and goals, risk tolerance, struggles and joys. We believe this foundation allows for more effective care and sets the stage for future success in the years to come, optimizing your child's health, maximizing the quality of your time with the physician, minimizing unnecessary testing, and resulting in a more relaxed experience for your child.
Some wonder why we have adopted a fee-for-service structure rather than opting to be paid in the usual way by insurance companies. The reason is that our practice model is fundamentally at odds with the insurance-based medical model where appointments are often only 15 minutes, house calls are a rarity, and where final costs are determined after the fact. By remaining out of network, the physician and family collaborate to make important decisions without interference or financial unknowns. Insurers still play an important but secondary role, covering some primary care costs, emergencies, severe illness and catastrophic matters. We are happy to provide medical codes upon request for families who wish to submit their receipts to their insurance provider directly or through a reimbursement assistant like Reimbursify.
We believe that you will find that our unique practice model provides unsurpassed quality.
From the first call to our pediatric practice you can count on a personalized experience from our family owned business. The doctor's husband, Kyle, warmly greets our established patient families by name. You can say goodbye to the days of waiting in a crowded office with your sick child. And say hello to a pediatrician who will take time to get to the root cause of your illness, and advocate for your child and family.
We know that going to the doctor can be a scary experience for kids. That's why we strive to create a supportive and welcoming environment for both children and parents. Our team of caring professionals are here to help your child feel comfortable and at ease.
If your child is not an established patient at JMJ Pediatrics, we are unable to provide medical advice or referrals.
And be not conformed to this world; but be reformed in the newness of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, and the acceptable, and the perfect will of God.
